Explore 840 historical Shopee disposable-diaper listings across Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. The three workbooks record October 21, 2024 as their observation date. Use this archive to practice listing comparisons and data-quality checks; it is not a current price list or a complete market census.

Country coverage and source files

Market Listings Shop IDs
Vietnam 240 111
Thailand 360 125
Singapore 240 76

Each file has one worksheet, Sheet1, with 21 columns and one header row. Shop counts are distinct shopId values within each country, not globally distinct companies. Every shop-and-item ID pair is unique within its own workbook.

  • Vietnam, VND: 11036263-DisposableDiapers-vietnam.xlsx.
  • Thailand, THB: 11046127-TapePantsDisposableDiapers-thailand.xlsx.
  • Singapore, SGD: 11011616-DisposableDiapers-singapore.xlsx.

The category names come from the source filenames. The files do not document a sampling method or contain a category column, so the larger Thailand file does not establish a larger market. Keep currencies separate unless you document an exchange-rate source and date.

What the 21 columns contain

  • Identity: name, url, imageUrl, itemId, shopId, shop_name and brand. Preserve IDs as text; combine country, shop ID and item ID for cross-file matching.
  • Snapshot: country, currency and updateTime. Every row records 10/21/2024.
  • Prices: price, price_before_discount, discountPercent, price_min, price_max, price_min_before_discount and price_max_before_discount. The file does not map each variant to a pack count and price.
  • Ratings and counters: rating, rating_count, sold and historySold. The reporting window of sold is not defined. These displayed counters are not audited transactions or verified October sales totals.

Check variants, missing brands and reference prices

  • Price ranges: 163 Vietnam, 159 Thailand and 121 Singapore listings have different minimum and maximum prices. Confirm diaper type, size, pack quantity and selected variant before comparing unit prices.
  • Zero reference prices: 32 Vietnam, 60 Thailand and 62 Singapore records have price_before_discount equal to zero. Do not divide by zero or interpret that reference field as a free offer.
  • Blank brands: 41 Vietnam, 53 Thailand and 21 Singapore records have no brand value. Keep the original blank cells and document any grouping in a separate analysis copy.

For an example of why a store name is not a reliable brand filter, see the September 2024 Huggies store archive. Its Singapore workbook contains Poise-labelled adult-care listings, and the guide shows how to keep raw brand values separate from an analyst’s classification. This is a separate store snapshot, not a matched month-to-month comparison with the October diaper category archive.

Worked example: a carton price is not a per-diaper price

Singapore worksheet row 2 is “MERRIES Disposable Diaper – Tape & Pants – TWIN Value Carton” from Diaper King, shop 3272555, item 9842644059 (the source title also contains promotional symbols and “BEST DEAL”). It records SGD 29.90, a reference price of SGD 36.50, a range of SGD 29.90–79.90, and a stored discount of 18%.

The price-pair calculation is (36.50 − 29.90) ÷ 36.50 × 100 = 18.08%, which rounds to the stored 18%. This checks arithmetic only; it does not verify a previous selling price, checkout offer or the price of every variant.

“TWIN Value Carton” does not supply an exact number of diapers for the selected variant. The workbook has no dedicated pack-count, diaper-size or variant-to-price columns. Dividing SGD 29.90 by an assumed number of pieces would therefore invent a unit price. Use confirmed price for the selected variant ÷ confirmed diaper count in that same variant only after obtaining both values.

A practical comparison workflow

  • Keep the original workbook, source filename and observation date. Work in a separate copy keyed by country, shop ID and item ID.
  • Separate tape diapers from pants, and group by verified size and piece count. Flag mixed titles or unresolved variants instead of assigning them to a price group.
  • Compare prices in the same currency and state whether shipping or vouchers are included. This archive has no dedicated shipping or checkout-voucher fields.
  • Record missing-brand and reference-price rules before calculating summaries. Report how many records remain and why others were excluded.
  • For changes over time, obtain additional dated observations of the same listings and variants. One snapshot cannot establish growth, market share or changes in consumer preference.

The original cover’s brand logos are visual identifiers, not evidence of endorsement or authenticity. Its market-insight themes describe possible analysis topics; the files themselves contain listing observations, not a finished market or consumer-preference study.
